I'm slowly getting back to normal after being hit with a

nasty cold as a result of this cold friggin weather that

has hit Central Florida, where we usually enjoy mild

and pleasant winters.

Under the weather

The cold weather brought me a cold.

UGH . . . I feel like crap after being in the

cold weather way too long.

Why does this happen when I have so much to do?

On the bright side, I've had much more computer time

and have been finding so much cool stuff to share.

The Captain still hasn't found that box of trains that

goes under the tree, but he'll be struggling through more

boxes in the storage shed today in search of the treasures.

The goal is to finally start the Christmas decorating this

weekend when I'm feeling better.

Weird Me . . . my contribution . . .
Even though I knew the cold weather was gonna hit and also knew that
we would be out in the cold weather . . . I've gotten into a very bad
habit of not taking my vitamins, which would have avoided feelingso sick and crappy.

At least I could have done the preventative thing.
It is weird and bizarre to know my body and disregard the consequences.
Procrastination and putting things off . . . a weird trait many of us possess!

Christmas Shopping . . . are we done yet?

Christmas shopping . . . hmmm . . . with rough economic times hitting everyone at the worst possible time of the year . . . year after year already . . . I have wondered and have written about what society in general are doing about  gift giving.

I survived on running an online store until a couple of years ago when the economy tanked and my business went with it.  Seems like from one day to the next it just went away . . . people quit buying.

While I realize that some are struggling, others are gainfully employed and doing well.  However . . . I wonder if they are freely spending, using their credit cards or not incurring more debt and buying gifts with actual money and living within their means.

My friends and family understand the financial rough times experienced since I became a widow . . . and give gifts that I have made.

So . . . in my case . . . I have not started, but all it will take is a trip to the grocery store to buy the stuff I need to make baked goodies.

This year is gonna be about spending quality time with friends and family . . . something I have missed out on for many years . . . my gift to myself!

Running way behind!

It has been a strange couple of days!

My sleep schedule is messed up and I'm running late on everything.

Thank you so much to my blogger friends who have sent me awards . . . I'm so touched!!  But with those awards come additional blogs to write and other bloggers to nominate . . . and I am WAY behind on these!!  

There aren't enough hours in the day!

But . . . I do make the time to visit the blog hops, check out some new blogs from each list and visit other blogs that I follow in between.  I haven't been using my reader to visit . . . I'm using the blog hops to visit the familiar blogs I'm following.  Hoping to get back to my reader soon!

The group of bloggers I admire so much are the mommies who really have their hands full . . . how do you do it?  At the moment I don't even have a pet to take care of . . . just me and The Captain . . .

At the moment, my focus has been on blog hops and compiling my blog hop page.  The next item on my agenda is to compile a giveaway page . . . you guys are awesome!

Soon I will be doing giveaways of my jewelry inventory that is way out of control.  I've had awful experiences with eBay and have no intention of going back there again.  Even if I did, I would never list all of the stuff I have . . . my last eBay store had 6,000 items listed which is a fraction of my inventory!

I've rambled enough for now, but I would like input on selling at Etsy.  Many of you have Etsy stores and I am wondering how it is working for you.  Are you happy listing there?  Is it worth it?
