    DIY Jeans Coasters

    What an awesome idea!

Although the idea for coasters is awesome, my creative thoughts went to making appliques, patches, embellishments for purses and on and on.  So many possibilities for this concept!

Jeans Resurrection: A Small Clutch Bag

What a cute little clutch!  Click here for the basic pattern and then let your imagination run wild with the embellishments.

Since I sell vintage jewelry and have an overabundance at my fingertips, I love using bits and pieces of old jewelry that I can't sell to embellish these DIY sewing projects.  I'll be posting some new projects as soon as I get back into my sewing room.

Use what YOU have an abundance of for the embellishments . . . if you are a fabric hoarder, another favorite for me are fabric appliques.  No need to go out and buy more stuff to make this little clutch a special little treasure!

The pattern and inspiration comes from Alida, whose blog is on hiatus, but has lots of great ideas, patterns and inspiration.  Her personal story is touching . . . check out her blog, Alida Makes.

    19 DIY Jeans Purses

Making jean purses is one of my favorite DIY projects. Needless to say I was thrilled when I found the website GuidePatterns and a free download for 19 patterns.  I have not downloaded them yet, so I don't know if it works properly.

    DIY Woven Jeans Coaster

I love this idea, not only for this project, but as a way to make your own fabric for other projects (such as purses).

This project uses jeans seams that you probably have left over in your scrap stash from other denim jeans projects.  How cool is this concept?

    Denim Jeans Mini Purse

What a cute little mini purse or belt pouch made from denim jeans legs!

Click on the link at the end of this post to go to the tutorial, which can be used as a guide.  I love the techniques used in the construction of the purse.

The purse itself can be made fancier by using fabric embellishments, jewelry and buttons.

    Denim Flip Flops

How cute are these denim flip flops to wear around the house?

The construction of these flip flops do not use shoe soles as a base, but it should not be too difficult to use an old pair of flip flops as a base.  You can use some of the other tutorials I have listed on this blog to see how to use recycle old flip flops.

Love this idea!  It has given me inspiration for many designs :)

    Potholder/Oven mitt

    Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Pot holders and oven mitts are one of the best projects for using up fabric scraps.  I don't know about you, but I can never have enough pot holders . . . they seem to disappear.

They also make great gifts when matched with coordinating napkins and placemats.

Don't you know I love using denim for these projects . . . so durable and strong!

I love the website About.com for learning how to do just about anything . . . click here for their tutorial!

    Denim organizer

    What an awesome concept!

This denim organizer was originally made to organize belts,
but I'm thinking of all types of ideas, like a lingerie or
     jewelry organizer.

The pockets can be designed using the denim waistband part
that has the button closure or secure a specially designed
     denim flap with velcro.

How about using denim pockets for
     the various sections?

    So many ideas!

Roll it up and store in your luggage for organizing all
those little things you take on a trip.
