Chilling out :)

How is everyone's Thanksgiving holiday going?

Today has been a day of chilling out for us.

Yesterday was all about eating and spending

time with family.

One thing I need to comment on is the awesome
weather we are having in Central Florida.  Although

we had a quick downpour this morning, the weather
has been perfect.  It has been warm without high

humidity . . . perfect for outdoors!

I'm a bit late starting my blog hops, but better late than

never . . . I have some new buttons to add to the list,

but since it is so late, I'll add them later.

Something new . . . I have added a page for Blog Hops.
My list grew too fast and too big to list on my sidebar,
making my blogs way too fast to load.

Frugal Holiday?

The holiday season can be an awesome time of year, however, with the economy as it is and the high unemployment rate, are families starting to opt for frugal holidays?  Is society in general still using credit cards to finance the holidays
 . . . going into more debt?


As an active frugalogist, I wonder how everyone else treats the holiday gift-giving tradition.  What I've done in the past is give handmade items, like my Oreo chocolate chip cheesecake.  Shouldn't it be the thought that counts?  Don't spend money you don't have?


For me, you can never be too frugal if that is what your life circumstances calls for.  Sometimes it is a matter of survival . . . sometimes the practicality of future goals?

Part of the fun of Thanksgiving is having someone to cook with . . .

First thing to cook are the Oreo chocolate chip cheesecakes!

Think of the possibilities . . . using different types of fabric for the flower petals . . . utilize a broken piece of jewelry for the center . . . make beaded stamens for the center . . . I love the endless possibilities!!

Time got away from me this morning participating in the blog hops and organizing new features for my blogs.
